Many L2 learners are identified as struggling based on perception rather than concrete data. This session will explore how data-driven language profiles can inform and enhance classroom pedagogy. Participants will learn to interpret language profiles and transcribed conversations to identify strengths and areas for improvement in students’ language abilities. By understanding both bottom-up (language features) and top-down (contextual understanding) approaches, educators will leave equipped with practical strategies to better support L2 learners using meaningful, data-informed practices.
