This workshop addresses the unique multilingual landscape of international schools, particularly in Asia, often overlooked in current research. We'll move beyond simplistic views of multilingualism to explore a dynamic perspective on translanguaging pedagogies. Participants will discuss how diverse languages shape learning spaces and challenge existing research approaches. Through collaborative brainstorming and structured sharing, educators will develop strategies tailored to their unique environments. Activities include a Challenges and Solutions Carousel, Cultural Concept Translation, and potentially a Heteroglossic Classroom Simulation, all aimed at creating multidirectional language learning experiences.
