Vocabulary Instruction: The Why, the What and the How LIMITED

This session will take a deep dive into vocabulary instruction. Participants will learn how to select words for instruction beyond the tiers of vocabulary, engage in various activities to learn research-based strategies and finally develop assessment tools and practices. In addition, participants will learn how to teach vocabulary based on the hierarchies of instruction and cognitive load theory.
